It’s easy to see why Taylor Swift is considered one of the greatest pop stars ever. From the massive success of The Eras Tour to her countless No.1 albums, there is no shortage of evidence to support this claim. And she’s still making history – on the latest Billboard 200 chart dated July 22, her album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) has debuted at No.1, adding to her already impressive legacy.
Thanks to 716,000 equivalent album units earned in the US during the week ending July 13, the album has reached its pinnacle. This is the most successful week for any album so far in 2023. In addition, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is Swift’s 12th No. 1 album, giving her the record among female artists. Barbra Streisand, the previous record holder, had 11 chart-toppers.
At present, Swift has four albums that rank in the top-10 charts. In addition to Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), Midnights (No. 5), Lover (No. 7), and Folklore (No. 10) also occupy the coveted spots. This remarkable feat places her as the first living artist to achieve such a feat since Herb Alpert accomplished it in 1966. The only other person to have accomplished this, either alive or dead, is Prince following his passing in 2016.
The latest album has some remarkable additions in the form of “From The Vault” tracks, which include collaborations with Hayley Williams and Fall Out Boy. Check out our list of the top “From The Vault” tracks to see where they stand.
